Load Case Manager

Used to manage the load cases that will be used in this Structural discipline model. You create, edit, and delete the load cases here. To change their style (appearance) in the model, use the Loads Style Manager dialog. Load case data is among the information that is passed to an external analysis program. er

SettingDescription
File Menu
  • File > Import — Opens the Import Load Case File dialog where you can import existing load case files from a DGN file into your current master model. When you select a DGN and click Open, all of the load cases in that DGN are imported to the active DGN file's Load Case Manager.
  • File > Export — Opens the Save Load Case File As dialog. This saves any changes to the Load Case file to another DGN name.
  • File > Exit — Exits the Load Case Manager dialog.
Load Cases
  • Name — Displays the name of the Load Cases. You can edit this name by clicking Edit and changing it on the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Type — Displays the type of the Load Case. You can edit this type by clicking Edit and changing it on the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Force Unit — Displays the force unit used for this Load Case. You can edit this value by clicking Edit and changing it on the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Distance Unit — Displays the distance unit used for this Load Case. You can edit this value by clicking Edit and changing it on the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Active — Click in the column to turn this field on or off. A check box means that you will export the data for this load case to an external analysis program. If there is no check box, the data will not be exported.
  • Display — Click in the column to turn this field on or off. A check box means that the data for this load case will display in the structural model. If there is no check box, the data will not display.
  • Style Name — Displays the style name used for this Load Case. You can edit this value by clicking Edit and changing it on the Load Case Editor dialog.
Dialog button controls
  • Add — Adds a load case using the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Edit — Edits the highlighted load case using the Load Case Editor dialog.
  • Delete — Deletes the highlighted load case.
  • Loads Style — Opens the Loads Style Manager dialog, that lists all loads styles contained in this model.
  • Apply — Applies all changes and keep the Load Case Manager dialog active.
